📋 Tournament Format & Draw Analysis

Understanding the format is critical for tactical preparation. Here's how the 9th Heroes 2026 works:

📚 Class Structure: Athletes are grouped into Class A (Open/Poom-Black), B (Colored), C (Beginner), D (White-Yellow). All Markhor athletes compete in Class A — T-Rank (Open) with full point kicks allowed.
🥊 T-Rank System: "T-Rank" = Thai ranking system. This is the open/elite class for experienced athletes. Top international competition.
📊 Bracket Format: Brackets shown as "Hogu #X" — that's Thai for "Pool X" (Hogu = Pool, Group).
  • Class A: Group of athletes in same weight — NO subgrouping, must win matches to medal (semi-final losers still get participation medal)
  • Class B: divided into groups of 4
  • Class C/D: divided into groups of 2-3
🌱 Seeding: Athletes are seeded by past performance/ranking. Lower seed = better. Seeds #1-2 get favorable bracket positions. Arham at #5 is mid-pack — avoids top seeds until later rounds.
⚡ PSS System: Class A uses KPNP PSS K1-K2 electronic scoring protectors. All Class A kyorugi uses Electronic Scoring System (world-standard).
⏱️ Match Duration: 1:30 to 1:40 per match. 3 rounds typical. Points: body kicks 2pts, head kicks 3pts, spinning kicks 4-6pts.
🏆 Advancement: Athletes who advance to Semi-Finals and Finals receive medals. Those eliminated earlier get participation medal + certificate.
